二利

The dual benefits, or profits: benefiting or developing oneself and others; [lang id =1028]自利 in seeking enlightenment in bodhisattvahood, [lang id =1028]利他 in saving the multitude. Hīnayāna "seeks only one's own benefit"; the bodhisattva rule seeks both one's own benefit and that of others, or personal improvement for the improving of others.

﹝出金剛般若經取著不壞假名論﹞ 〔一、 自利〕， 謂於如來所說經典， 自能受持讀誦， 聽聞思惟， 如理修習， 成就勝果， 是名自利。 〔二、 利他〕， 謂能以己所受之法， 展轉為人演說， 令其修習， 斷惑證果， 是名利他。
